Love the dine in area. Cute, clean, inviting and lots of 4 tops. Went for soup. Chicken and rice was just that. Broth. Chicken, mostly lean, and rice. Hit the spot but nothing to rave about. My friend had the wonton. Same reaction. Good but nothing special. Crab Rangoon. Cheesy and fluffy. The wonton was thicker than many places in the area, making them more flaky and crunchy. My order was taken and presented with a kind smile. I felt welcome. Honestly, that was the reason I tried a new place. My friend's usual go to in Smithfield has poor customer service. Would come back to try other items

China Star is always consistently good, cheap, and well portioned! I am so happy it's so close to us because we order it often. I've never dined in, we've always gotten to go, but the service is always so sweet whether we call it in or order at the counter. I've never physically been in so I can't speak to the ambience of it just yet! Their wonton egg drop soup is AMAZING! It's a must order every time. We always order egg rolls, we switch between their traditional and their shrimp, so delicious every time. Their fried rice is good no matter what meat you choose or if you choose to go veggie! I always order the orange chicken and it is always tasty. My fiancé differs on his orders but said the boneless spare ribs are definitely his favorite. The chicken egg foo young is delicious and huge portions, definitely a good choice for sharing. We're always happily eating leftovers for a few days after.
